Throughout her long career in Hollywood, Eva Longoria has posed for a number of sultry photoshoots. You can see an example below.
But in recent years, motherhood has changed her perspective. She talked to Byrdie about how she’s thinking about when her son grows up. She doesn’t want him to be embarrassed when he sees her past work.
I think, ‘Oh god, he’s going to see this one day.’ I definitely think more about what I want out in the world because my son is going to see it. I think about whether he’d be proud of something or might be embarrassed.
She shares her 6-year-old son, Santiago, with her husband, Jose Baston.
Elsewhere in the interview, Eva talked about turning 50 back in March. It was a huge milestone for her and a sign of maturity.
When I was younger, I’d say ‘yes’ to every opportunity. Now that I’m 50, I’m prioritizing differently. I’m curating my life to be very specific to what I want the next 50 years to look like. I’m spending more time with my family, working less, and doing more of what I love. Being financially secure helps with those decisions, but I feel I’ve worked hard enough to say ‘no’ now.
You definitely have, Eva! Enjoy your time with your family. That’s what life is all about.
