Last Friday, we informed you all that Hoda Kotb was super excited about getting a minivan. It was something she had been wanting for years, and now that she moved to the suburbs, she was able to get one.
And, let me explain, me and a minivan is like a dream. I’ve wanted it and I haven’t had it. Also, I am sometimes carpool mom. I can only take three kids because there’s no other room.
That quote was just seven days ago.
Now, seven days later, she’s admitting the minivan has served as a hiding spot away from her kids… LOL!
Her co-host, Jenna Bush Hager, asked if she had gone in the minivan to hide from her family yet, and Hoda admitted she has.
I cased out my own house. I sat outside and I didn’t go in…But I was in the car. So I was casing and waiting. Sometimes you need that time. You reset. And then you’re ready.
Bush Hager, who is a mother to three kids, knows exactly what Hoda is talking about. She admitted that sometimes she’ll just hide out in her car and listen to music.
“And, you’re like, ‘OK, maybe just one more song.'” she added.
Hey, we totally understand. There’s no shame in this! Being a parent is great, but sometimes, a break is very much needed.
